Is it normal to stop breathing when i feel velvet?

Is it normal that when I feel the material velvet I physically can'r breathe until I stop touching it? Like I will just stop mid breath and can't finish breathing in or out...

    i stop breathing when i feel the grit between tiles. in a bad way
