Is it normal to still sleep with a nigt light?

Ok so I'm 19 years old and I still sleep with a night light. I always hear these weird noises and I always think that someone is going to try and kidnapp/kill me. Is this normal?

Dude, I still sleep with a stuffed animal and I like it. Who cares if its normal? If it makes you feel safe that's all that matters in the world.

I'm 62, and my wife's 57, and we still sleep with a nightlight on. We never got out of the habit since the kids were little. It saves your toe stubbing when getting up in the middle of the night to pee.

I dont thinks its normal, but who cares. If it works for you then why not. I have to have a small fan going next to my head or I cant sleep. Its noise drowns out the quiet and stops the thoughts rushing through my brain long enough for sleep to take over.

It's normal to an extent. I am 28 and I still sleep with a nightlight and a blanket. But I also suffer from anxiety and I struggle with irrational fears at times. A simple nightlight is harmless but it may be worth looking into if you feel it's seeping into other areas of your life. So, yes it is normal but if you notice it's a common theme in your life then that's not normal and you should talk to someone about it. Also consider why you are so scared about being kidnapped or someone breaking in. It really depends on your situation. Do you live in a bad neighborhood? Were you raised by a parent who was overprotective or had fears like this? Have you experienced a traumatic situation? If your bothered by the night light try to figure out the root reason for why you have it, if you address that then you will likely be able to get rid of it and live in less fear.

I think it's normal to be frightened but only to a certain extent. I believe that the ghosts and goblins only haunt the children, not the adults so please, do yourself a favor and relax.

of course its normal, its a rational thing to have a night light cuz u think someone will kidnapp or kill you.
If it really bothers you that u still use a night light, when u go to sleep, open up ur window curtains and let the moonlight fall into ur room or leave ur door partly open and just turn on a light outside the door
