I had a boyfriend for 2 years and we ended 2 years ago and I still miss him constantly. Plus he's just started talking to me again saying he misses me...I now live in a different state. Do I just need to harden up and let go or should I hold on.
You know you aren't going to let him go, and you know you aren't going to be able to tell him off if he's talking all sweet at you, so there's going to have to be another option.
If he's really interested, he owes you a real, honest to goodness conversation about everything that happened between the two of you. It's just going to fall all to hell again if you don't do this.
And the first thing you do is tell him that you're not moving. That will give you a good indication of exactly how interested he really is. If you tell him "I'm sorry, but I'm not moving back there," and he suddenly doesn't call for two weeks, there's your answer, you know? Some guys are slimy that way - they'll chat up a female just because they think there's some sex in it for them. Don't fall into that trap. Make him work for it.
On the other hand, if his response is to start making plans to relocate (and these plans *must* include being able to support himself. Sorry dudes, but thou must havest jobs if thou wantest to get da pussay), he's serious and that's all there is to it (hey, what can I say? Sometimes it really *is* a fairy tale).

You need to move on, and thats not going to happen until you accept that it's really over. I used to think about my ex all the time and we broke up 3 years ago. I JUST got over him last year.

move on, as the first poster says- you broke up for a reason. he prolly just wants to get back for the unbridled anal you guys had. but other than that, you pretty much are a shitbag and no one will have you- that is why you are single.
