Is it normal to still feel hurt?

We dated for 1 year and out of the blue he dumped me the day after I got rejected from Uni and found out about my mum having cancer. 2 weeks later he was already all over some new girl (all over Facebook) there going to the ball together and the group photos pop up on Facebook. It's been nearly 5 months and he's still on my mind some times it makes me so angry and upset Because I didn't see it coming and I feel lyed to so is it normal ? 5 months later to still feel like this ? Any tips to moving on ? I'm so over these feelings

You were rejected without a reason of course it's normal to feel hurt years later. It will get easier to move forward. Be thankful it happened before you had kids with the loser.

he found a better girl than you, get over it, he probably even met her before he broke up with you which is why he broke up "out of the blue." it may have nothing to do with you, and that the girl is better or the guy is a jerk/douche/asshole, or it may have everything to do with you, ie: were you too clingy, jealous etc.
the problem with people these days is they don't establish a relationship with someone they are truly in love with, they just stay with people they like, as long as it doesn't get in the way of what they want to do, and when something comes around that's better, they leave.
