Is it normal to still cry about best friends suicide after 10 months?

I try to keep happy, but I still always cry. My best friend hung herself and now I can't hear anything about hanging or see it without crying. Sometimes I just randomly cry because I think about her. I don't know if this is normal or if I should see someone..

I'm sorry for your loss.I can say I know the feeling. When you lose someone close you can cry even years after that. For me it's been 8 years since someone close to me died and I still cry myself to sleep so often. It will never really go away, but you can hope that you will learn to cope with the pain with time.Time doesn't really heals all wounds, but you will learn that these scars were meat to bleed.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's normal to be upset, but if you are crying constantly, it might be best to talk to a professional.

You're going through a grieving process. It's okay to need help for this. Grieving death is one of the hardest challenges in life. If you're too uncomfortable asking your parents for help, tell your counselor at school. They can help you with this. You should know though that this nothing to be embarrassed about if that's why you don't want to tell your parents.

  • I had a similar situation happen 3 years ago this day. Worst thing I've ever had to deal with and I don't think these things ever fully go away but you got to live on.

I had a dog once. She died while i was at camp... I was super upset and cried for weeks... Eventually my parents got a new dog and that helped ease the situation a bit. Now i never lost a friend before but im sure your friend is sitting up there thinking 'why the hell is he/she still crying? Go and live life, for me!' Sure its hard but thinking of good times together and letting out your feeling with others will help (I hope).

OMG :'( Suicide is NEVER the way out EVER! It is hard talking about your personal struggles with someone but its far better than taking your life. Recovery may be slow but never give up. I want to hug you so badly right now my sweet little muffin : (
