Is it normal to still be a virgin at my age?

I'm 26 and still a virgin. I haven't even had a boyfriend. I was a loner in high school and was quiet all through college. I used to think I wanted to wait until marriage to have sex, but now I think with the right guy, it might happen. I feel weird being this age and sexually inactive, and I just wanted to know if anyone out there had a similar story.

    don't push things just to get the "virgin card" punched.

    if you're not ready then you're not ready. and if there's no one around you that you actually want in your bed, then you can't just create them out of thin air.

    why settle for a simple fuck with anyone, when what you really want is to make love to someone who's special to you?

    One of my ex-friends didn't loose his until he was near his mid twenties, he was a loser though.

    Your problem sounds more like a simple case of shyness.

    I wouldn't say it's normal, but it's not fucked up.

    I can relate to a point. Not only was I also a loner throughout highschool, I am also a 26 year-old virgin. But I have had a relationship. It wasn't supposed to happen, because she was an exchange student, and we both knew that we only had a year together. We made a mutual agree to not let our relationship get physical. This was the year after I graduated. Since then, I really haven't met anyone that interested me as much as her.

    i am 27 and a virgin i am with my fiance 8 years we have decided to wait till we get married to lose our virginitys to each other-i always knew i wanted to wait for marriage to have sex with someone i love and cherish out of respect for me and my body for dignity and pride il be able to say i waited and was worth waiting for,only you can make your own decision at the end of the day,their will be your perfect partner and you will know when you meet them donth rush-waiting pays off x

    I lost it at age 14 and I regret the hell out of it. It was with my friend from the Boy Scouts and we were just doing it for fun, but it hurt like a motherfucker (I was bottom) and the guy turned out to be an asshole. I never even got off. Don't rush it.

    The question isn't about virginity, it's about the relationships you've had in your life. If none, why? If you have had some, why did you not have sex? It's normal to be a virgin at your age, as long as you desire an appropriate partner and have patience to lose virginity.
