Is it normal to stick tiny wads of toilet paper up your vagina?

So on light days of my period or when I'm having discharge, I tear off a little bit of toilet paper and roll it up, then shove it up my vagina. Not far but just enough so it's secure. Sorta like a tampon. I suppose I do this because it's quick, not a hassle, comfortable, is readily available, and it costs no money. Does anyone else do it?

    Does it not dissolve with the moisture?
    Also, there are some weird things in some toilet paper. I wouldn't feel safe sticking it up my vagina and leaving it there.

    No. I use tampons or pads.

    only time I use TP for my period is for an emergency
