Is it normal to stick things in your urethra?
I am a male, mid 30s, and ever since I can remember I've had an obsession with my urethra. The earliest I can remember, I would stick blades of grass in the tip of my dipper in our backyard. This was during early elementary school years.
My father once caught me trying to stick a chopstick (from a Chinese restaurant, I believe) in my penis and scolded me. He told me it was dangerous and nasty, and from then on I couldn't help but want to do it more.
It has always stung when I put things in my penis, but the burning sensation is appealing to me for some reason. I like the pain. Could this be similar to people who mutilate their genitals? I certainly don't do that. However, I have progressed over the years to experimenting with larger and more shapely objects. In late adolescence I progressed to pushing pencils and my pinky finger into my urethra. Later into my twenties I started using larger things such as bold-tipped sharpies, my thumb and multiple fingers, and keys (naturally it has stretched over the years).
To this day I still frequently enjoy putting things in my urethra when I have the urge or even if I'm just bored. I don't think this is natural, but is it normal?
