Is it normal to starve yourself?

I'm 158cm and 92kilos. I'm overweight and have lost 10kilos in the last year.. But I want to lose more ASAP in the shortest amount possible but I'm finding it hard to lose weight.. I get called fat everyday and it's affecting my relationships with friends and family. I'm thinking of starving myself without telling them. What should I do.. It's depressing me.. I know im overweight but I feel like Im forced to lose weight cos of all the comments and looks everyone gives me. Advice anyone?

If you starve yourself, the minute you put food in your mouth again, you will start gaining back whatever you lost. Be smart about it. Eat little amounts a few times a day. Don't go without any food at all. Like a piece of fruit or a yogurt in the morning, a handful of nuts for lunch, carrots or celery to nibble on. Watch what you drink because a lot of beverages are loaded with sugar and or fat and calories. Try not to eat junk food, too many carbs or fatty meats or too much dairy. Its really not that hard to lose weight healthily. Just a little effort is all. No worries, but seriously, starving is not the answer

I agree with elephantface. It is definitely not helpful to your body. Although you may feel like your never becoming perfect, no one is perfect. Stop doing this. It WILL eventually kill you.

Why yes, I used to do the same... It sounds like you could be developing a ED. Lose weight by eating vegetarian and exercising.

    Large/Normal Breakfast + Small lunch & Supper + Exercise.
Ensure that all meals are nutritious and avoid foods with high fat content.
Drink only water and maybe a little bit of fruit juice - no sodas.

Remember, excess energy turns to fat, so exercise after consuming something that is high in energy.

I hope you might consider Weight Watchers. That program changed my life. Like you, I was willing to do whatever it took, no matter the cost. The catch to doing things the unhealthy way is that it doesn't even work that great!
A program like weight watchers will actually teach you how to live and eat well FOREVER. You can actually be thin. For the rest of your life. Assuming that you're ready to make changes. Good luck!

Starving will not only make you feel bad all the time, but will also not be healthy at all. The best thing to do, unfortunately, probably is turning off the tv, getting off the couch and going to exercise. It's hard but it should bring results.
