Is it normal to staple pants to your shoes?

My boyfriend told me alot of hispanic guys he knows will staple or use thumbtacks to attach their pants to the back of their shoes so their pants wont go under their shoes when they walk. WTF? I have never heard of this. IIN?

    If people do do this kind of thing they probably dont want to scuff the bottom of their pants, is it normal? maybe, maybe not,i wouldnt go to the trouble to do it.

    I usually staple my pants to my balls - darker colors are better as the blood does not show as much.
