I am turning 19 and today is my birthday. I just started spring Semester at my univeristy and have not yet made friends. Is it normal that I am spending my birthday alone? I'm in the library as I speak about to work on homework. I'm not a complete loser am I?

Don't worry about being alone on your birthday. Like you said it's a time of year where you ended up somewhere new just before your birthday. Some birthdays you will have people around and others you won't.

I hope nobody goes through that experience more than once, even if it means to talk to someone you never thought you would, or go to a party thats not your style. Being with someone you feel comfortable with is great but if you can't have that on ur b-day then go to your mom's!!

yes, if u dont have idea where to bring youre friends, or just u dont want to celabrate it, or u just dont want to waste youre money on youre bd, or u just dont want to take care of the visitors, or u just dont feel like u wanna see youre friends this day...
Happy Birthday!!!!! It's fine. I ALWAYS buy myself my own birthday cake n light my own candles. It doesn't matter if ur alone or not all that matters is that you are alive n were able to celebrate another year!!! So go out buy yourself a cake or a cupcake n celebrate YOUR birthday however you want. You have no one to please but yourself!!!
ive done it, but i have a shitty family. when you get older, birthdays are less of a big deal
