I don't like it or anything, but some people say that its "sexual abuse" and I shouldn't do it but I feel its necessary to make her remember what she did.
Most people here don't have children. I spank my daughter whether she has on panties, pants or even when she's running around naked. However, I find that psychological discipline works the best. For example, if I count how many whoopings I'm giving her I don't have to spank her very hard at all, even if she's wearing jeans.
If you are a man, though, I would definitely try the counting thing, or something similar, so people don't think you're weird. Also, your daughter will probably remember those spankings when she's older and wonder about your motives and distance herself from you because of that. Just keep her pants on so you don't lose your daughter.

Discipline is not abuse, so all you bleeding heart assholes just shut up! Discipline is something human beings need as so few of us have any real self discipline, and is especially necessary for setting limits of behavior when raising children.
It is NOT the role of the schools or social workers to raise our children, it is the role of the parents.
Should parents not wish this role, then they shouldn't be allowed to have children and should be surgically prevented from having children.

Hitting a child is not real parenting skills. If a child has done something wrong and you hit it then maybe it won't do the same thing again but probably for the wrong reason, not that it understands what it did was wrong but it just doesn't want to be bit hit again.

There's a time for it and not a time for it. The trick is to not get too carried away or it will become abuse. At the same time, not doing it at all isn't doing anyone a favor. Both overdoing it and underdoing it can create terrible people in the long run. It was overdone to me and by the grace of God I did not turn out the way I could have. The one's that didn't recieve spankings often end up being softies that try to act hard. Too bad they took over the streets in the end.
