Is it normal to be somewhat clueless at times when your talking/ texting a girl?

Don't get me wrong, sometimes I can carry on a conversation just fine, but it's hardly flirty, just small talk. But when it comes time that I like a girl, there's times when I just draw a blank, don't know what to say, and end up over thinking it.

I'll be honest, I consider myself a shy guy, and yeah, I'm every girl's "nicest guy" which leads me always to the dreaded friend zone. It's always hard to get them to take me seriously anything past that, and I'm sure it has something to do with me not flirting effectively.

Also, I've thought about going the cocky, arrogant dude route to get girls, cause it seems a lot of girls go for that, but I've decided that's not me at all, and that its better to be confident than cocky.

I've got the right idea, I'm just not sure how to get there. Any advice from both guys and girls?

    be yourself, and don't be afraid to day exactly.what pops in your head when she says something that stumps you even if your scared it might sound dumb or push her away, girls want honesty, they want to.know you want them as bad as they want you. and the shy guy.thing is a turn on, my hubby was very shy and me not so much but I loved getting him to open up and be crazy with me and getting to see him from a different perspective. if you really like a girl don't be able to show her the real you like you would when you good off with friends:)

    You don't have to resort to being a jerk to get the girl, this is coming from experience. All you really have to do is take a chance and tell the girl you like how you feel. By making your feelings known, you're giving her the opportunity to see you as not just a friend but a boyfriend.
