Is it normal to sometimes exercise 3 hours a day?

I hooked my bike up so that I can type and surf the net while riding my exercise bike on a trainer in the garage. I have become a bit obsessed though, and sometimes ride 2-3 hours a day. It isn't seriously strenous either, I don't sweat much at all. It is just a casual pace.

It's gotten so that now when I wanna surf the net I figure I might as well ride too, instead of sitting on my butt.

I don't have a job right now so I figure the least I can do is stay in shape since I have so much time on my hands. I ride an hour after breakfast, an hour after luncha nd sometimes an hour after dinner. I eat enough calories to make up the difference so it is not like I am getting too skinny. And I love to eat.

So am I crazy or WTF? Movie stars and stuff, they work out 3 hours a day and are lucky to have the time to do so - so I figure why the hell not me too?

you should also try more anaerobic activities....honestly there is nothing wrong with what your doing.....except that much cardio is for someone who is hundreds of pounds overweight....you can do so much cardio you begin to lose muscle.but hey,any exercise is better than none

That sounds cool. I could benefit from that kind of arrangement and I bet, like you, I'd start thinking the same way--if I'm gonna sit here on the computer I may as well be moving. I already feel that way about the computer/tv/music/coffee combo.

i love eating too but i'm too lazy to exercise 3 hours a day...i wish i had your willingness. just don't grow obsessed cuz it might be unhealthy. i think you should exercise one hour and half a day. it'd be enough. physical activity should be relaxing and it's a good way to relieve stress but if it becomes an obsession, it's counter-productive
