Is it normal to smoke weed with your best friends family

I practically live at my friends' house, and her family is very open with the whole weed thing. Her mom, who's had colon cancer, has medical marijuana for it. Usually, her step-dad will give us a couple nugs of weed(he owns his own business and never smokes, atleast not often), otherwise, her mom provides us with very, let's say, AMAZING weed, then off to toke we go. Now, it's summer and me and my friend smoke WAY more often. Several times her mom, with her sister aka my friends aunt, go to parks to 'walk around'. We light up on the way in the car(not to mention there's a little kid in the car, I'll say 6 years old?) secretely. Then, at the park, she will give us a packed brownie or a bag of weed. My friend has her own pipe and maybe stash, we go smoke that in the bushes with her mom. Other times, we smoke with her brothers (18-21 yrs old) in their special room specifically for smoking, weed also from my friends mom/step-dad/aunt.

Yeah long story short, just wondering if anyone else's parents or friends parents do this. If I did it with MY own parents, or if they had a CLUE I did? Most likely death or death related symptoms may occur. Oh and by the way, the little kid doesn't ever SEE us smoke, he may smell it but he has no clue what it is or what's going on, not poor parenting on the moms' part.

    Yeah dude I get high with my best buddy's folks all the time. It ain't no thang man. They hid it from us ever since I first met him in the 5th grade. I'm 21 now and I've been burning with them for a couple years now. My friend finally broke the ice with them on their way to a Thanksgiving dinner by lighting up a joint in the car, smoking it, and passing it casually.

    Just don't draw attention to it in a negative light and do it nonchalant.

    It's 2017 and most parents, hell even grandparents have lived in the age of smoking pot. Some still do and others might occasionally. When you're 18 you're considered a legal adult. You can buy cigarettes, fight in a war and vote (for example). So when you consider pretty much weed is smoked by all age groups and it's not the 1950's anymore, I find it normal to smoke weed with someone's parents. Also with their bros or sisters. As long as they are not underage.
    Pot is legal in a few states now. I know you have to be 21, but that's the same age to buy alcohol, but that doesn't stop most teens.

    That's sort of awesome! I wish I had had some weed "guidance" from someone older when I was younger.

    I think that parents who smoke weed are normal.
    However, I don't think sharing it with children is normal, in fact it's a bit irresponsible.

    My mother use to and still does smoke weed. My dad did until I was probably about 13 years old (I'm 35 now). All of my parent's life-long, closest, dearest friends ALL still smoke weed.

    The only times they toked around the kids was when we all (our family + family friends) went camping together. We knew it wasn't for us (we were told it was only for adults) and we weren't interested in it because we were kids. We were told the same thing about cigarettes and alcohol - no big deal. They did make a huge distinction between weed and other drugs; the later they went into great length to discourage us from them.

    My first 20 years of toking, I never did it with my parents until just a couple months ago, but my brother did and so did the children of my parent's friend's families. None of them were children at the time though.

    That's just my experience.

    Todally normal.
    I use to hang out with my friend Ryan 24-7 his parnets would smoke us out if I let his dad use my iPod for work.
    That was when I was 13.
    Now Im older my mom gets medical and smokes with me all the time, I like smoking with her more then people on the streets cause she has the dank dank shiet.
    Both my parents smoke lots and the what they say is they can't tell me not to if they do.
    100% normal. :)

    That's crazy. I'm the same exact way except my friends mom died of colon cancer. We do the same thing though. I think it's normal.

    Thats awesome! I have a friend whose mom helped me build a waterfall bong, although She never smoked with us, it was all open and so refreshing for me. My parents know I smoke and hate it so I have to sneak and lie and it's horrible. If you've never tried it asked your friend's mom for some Blue Dot it is the best strand I've smoked and I know it started as medical weed.

    I said no because weed is a drug, witch is illeagal. And it is poor peranting for the mom because she let's her daughter smoke. She even supplies you with most of it. Just think if u ever get pulled over and the cop smells something in the car, what? U think he's not gonna search it. And when he's gets the evidence the mom will go to jail and the little kid to child services and u, juvie

    ...UM, OK, NO, IT IS NOT NORMAL, AT ALL. PARENTS DON´T USUALLY SMOKE OUT THEIR KIDS N THEIR FRIENDS. YOUR PARENT´S REACTION IS MORE NORMAL THAN YOUR FRIEND´S PARENT´S ACTIONS. AND LET ME JUST ADD, I´M TOTALLY JEALOUS! LOL

    It's normal to smoke around my boyfriends best friends parents. They sometimes smoke with them too. Or they get drunk with everyone
