Is it normal to smoke weed and then completely pass out?

Alright so this happened to me a few days ago and it has me a little worried considering this used to happen to my cousin, which turns out is what killed him they say. So a couple of days ago I was smoking with some buddies of mine, I am a regular smoker basically every day, so we smoked a few bowls and I felt fine and everything until I got out of the car, I was trying to get to the messenger on my phone when suddenly my ears start ringing to the point I couldn't hear anyone around me talking, then my vision starts to go blurry it was so bad I couldn't even see my phone in my hand, and knowing something was about to happen I handed my phone off to my friend, next thing I know I feel a really sharp pain in my elbow, I opened my eyes and I was laying on the ground with everyone standing around me asking me what in the hell had just happened, to be honest I have no idea it has never happened before and I felt very weak while trying to stand back up, my buddies that were standing around me said I dropped like a rock and lied there for about 10 seconds shaking like I was having a seizure or something. It has been worrying me since but it didn't stop me from smoking today, which thank God it didn't happen this time.

  • Normal marijuana does not usually have this effect on people. Are you sure it wasn't laced or had any of that "spice" crap in it? I don't partake in weed myself but I have smoked it before in the past. I would consider myself very sensitive to some of the negative effects of this plant and I have never had an experience like you described. Mainly just tingly feelings all over and a nervous paranoid feeling that goes away after awhile. It would make more sense if you are currently taking any other medications daily. Weed can interact negatively with some meds. Maybe you should slow down on your use.

I'm not currently on any other medication and I have never had this reaction before in the entire 5 years of smoking.

Somebody laced your weed with either DMT, PCP, salvia etc. Find out who in your clan is the douche bag.

I've seen people pass out from smoking before, it's not common but it happens to some people

Don't worry about the laced weed bullshit, every post about marijuana on this site has at least two people saying your weed is laced with no evidence at all.

This wasn't marijuana induced honey. Go see a doctor.

  • Not normal at all I used to be a budtender, and marijuana should not produce that effect. Do not smoke anymore of that bud you got, it had to gave been laced. I would also stop buying from whoever sold it to you. Last time someone I knew had a reaction like that was after they smoked weed laced with antidepressants.

But everyone else who had also smoked felt perfectly fine, and so did I as soon as I got back up.

      • Okay it could still be laced. Me and 5 friends had smoked the laced weed but only one had a reaction, ringing ears and an actual seizure. People react differently to different drugs, everyone's body chemistry is unique so just because they were fine doesn't mean it wasn't laced. I worked in a clinic for a year, so if you ever have any questions please ask. I love my Mary :)

If you don't think it was laced how were you feeling before you smoked? Did you smoke on an empty stomach? Did you smoke more than usual?

I felt fine before I had smoked, I hadn't ate but wasn't hungry.
