Is it normal to smell things

I have a habit of loving to smell things, sometimes I fart on a chair then smell where I farted. Other less creepy times I smells bread or food on my plate. Other more creepy times is I scratch my butt or groin then sniff my hand is this normal?

    My husband does this and it grosses me out. Just do it in private, lol!!

    Apparently our sense of smell is one of our strongest brain triggering senses. The sense of smell has been found to trigger more memories than the sense of site. So while I am not down for the smelling of farts I do understand you enjoying the action of smelling things. We all have our weird quirks..just be you!

    Apparently it's normal? My ex smelled everything, everything!! All the time, if his hands were touching it, his nose was smelling it! He wasn't even aware he did it until I brought it to his attention and asked him why he does that! He told me " I don't know"
