Is it normal to smell like blue cheese?

Every time my girlfriend and I hang out, she insists that my breath or saliva smells like blue cheese. According to her, it's not gross, but it's cute. It still smells like that even after I brush my teeth and use mouthwash. Is this normal?

I had disgusting breath for years. I had no friends and even family keep me at a distance.
I was flossing brushing and rinsing everyday but still had bad breath. I spent thousands on all kinds of products claiming to stop bad breath but still had bad breath. I came across an eBook from badhalitosisbreath.com and it gave me my first insight into my problem. After I did all the advice in the eBook it identified Post Nasal Drip as the primary issue with eating and cleaning as the oral problem.
So I was happily surprised when my brother asked the following week why my breath didn’t smell any more, I told him what I’d done he’s like thank god for that book!
Now 6 months later I have my first girlfriend and worked up enough courage to tell her about what I was like just 1 year ago. She said I smelt better then any other boyfriend she’d had. Music to my ears!

It's something in your diet, or something that you lack in your diet. Speak to your doctor about it.

maybe she just doesn't know how to explain the smell other than to compare it to blue cheese - as long as she likes it... you think she's lying? human odors are NOT always a bad thing

There's no way that's not gross. She probably doesn't want to make you feel bad but was hinting that your breath smells.

Bad breath is very common, but not normal in a sense that you shouldn't investigate to see if something's wrong. I'm sure there's nothing seriously wrong, but maybe you have an infection somewhere. Some people have pitted tonsils and food and bacteria build up in the pits and can smell very bad. Do you visit the dentist regularly? Maybe you have stinky plaque buildup. You should see a doc, in my opinion.

Ugh, the pitted tonsils are AWFUL. Thankfully I got mine removed a few years ago. They were completely rotten. But now they're gone, and so it the taste, lol.
