I sleep with guns in my bed ( sometimes as many as six - 2 rifles and 4 pistols ) in case I need to be ready for action. It makes me feel more secure in my home. I really like guns also.
Is this normal, does anyone else do this ?
What's to stop it blowing your balls off in the middle of the night? :-S
i used to sleep with a .50 cal DE under my pillow. but i changed to 2 colt 1911 45. ACP pistols!
I really, really love this haha. I used to sleep with a bat, but now I just sleep with a hunting knife between my mattress and the metal frame of my bed.
If i was a burglar ( which I will never be ) and I tried to rob your house, I'd be fucking dead
It IS normal for a gunowner to keep a self-defense gun loaded and ready to go near them in case of a break-in during the night. However, if there are children in the household this is NOT responsible gun-owning at all. More than 1 or 2 guns on stand-by does seem a tad excessive. IMO keep a shotgun with buckshot (slugs are overkill, and ofttimes over-penetrate) and possibly a .45 semi-auto or a .44 revolver at the ready for intruders, but 6 guns is too much. You only have 2 trigger fingers my friend. The remaining guns are simply weapons your adversary may use against you.

wow that is so sad... so very sad... that society has come to this when you cant feel safe in your own home.... in these situations i feel so lucky to live where i do.
It is not normal to sleep with so many guns "in bed". If shit hits the fan you only have two hands. It really boils down to how many are sleeping on top of your bed. You got a King Size?
You mean actually IN your bed. Like under your blankets? I can imagine having guns next to your bed... but in it? thats dangerous.

The only action you'll ever get is your guns touching your penis :/ Stop being paranoid. Unless you live in a very heavy ghetto area which I doubt it.
Not normal, & I sure hope you dont have children in your home. Thats just an accident waiting to happen. Theres nothing wrong with guns, but be safe about it!! Keep ONE in your night stand drawer (if no children) & stop being so paranoid.
