Is it normal to sleep with a heating pad?

This may sound weird but every night I sleep with a heating pad, I can't not use it, even if it's summertime and it's hot out. The problem is after doing this for so many years, I have mottled skin. I want to know if this is normal or if I'm just a freak with reptile skin now. Please help?? Much appreciated!

I got mottled skin from a hot water bottle but it went away after I stopped using it.

This is a comfort mechanism for you. In general, there's nothing wrong with having them but, something is very wrong when it messes up your skin. Get Warmer blankets and wrap themselves around you. And, see a doctor about your skin. Good luck.

Cold blooded? Need a heating rock? Hey, use a Sunbeam heated blanket to wrap yourself up. Its much safer. Look up Sunbeam. How do I know? I like to bake under hot blankies. You should find a gym with a sauna. You will be in heaven.

I sleep with a heating pad if I'm cold and an ice pack if I'm hot.

This seems like a comfort thing for you, though. Or maybe a habit.
