Is it normal to sleep this much when you have sleep apnea?
I sleep about 14-16 hours a night on average. I got diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea last year and I use a CPAP machine now but I don't feel it helps much. I'm still sleeping a lot and when I'm awake I'm drowsy and feel tired all the time. It is also near impossible to wake me up. I have lost several jobs for being late / missing work. I've also heard people say that I'm tired because I sleep too much but I don't think thats it because when I've had jobs I've been forsed to sleep 8-10 hours a night regularlly and I'm even more tired during the day to where I can barely function. I've had this problem since childhood but I just gets worse as I get older. I am 27 and unlike most sleep apnea patients I am not over weight at all. I often will even sleep for 20 hours and more. Is this normal symptoms for someone with sleep apnea?
