Is it normal to sleep or feel really tired when you're bored?

Lately, I've developed the habit of feeling really sleepy when I'm bored and I have absolutely nothing to do, or when I'm with a bunch of people, but they're just my parents friends and i really don't give a crap about what they're saying or on long drives. Is that normal? Should I try and stop this habit?

  • iT HAPPENS TO ME TOO. I tend to get distracted and out of energy when I don't find any interesting and motivating things around and is frustrating cause there's many things I'd like to do instead of listening to trivial conversations or whethever... Guess you should try to find a balance between the time you spend with others(important ones, like family 4 example) and the time you DO WHAT REALLY INTERESTS YOU! As for having nothing to do, I'm pretty sure there's always something you would find interesting, pleasure or productive doing. If sleeping is one of them, THEN GO AHEAD and SLEEP YOUR LIFE AWAY. But if there's really things you'd like to accomplish(which U don't I fear), then work towards them and don't let the compliments and established rules knock you down!!

I have the same habbit, I will even just fall asleep during a movie if the dialogue gets too long, something I would never do before but now If I get bored I just don't want to be conscience lol.

I can imagine being in your shoe. Doing nothing at all can drain my energy, make me think of go to sleep to kill some time. Pretty common with people.
