Nah dude thats nothing. I used to stay up all the way up until 2a.m in the morning and wake up until 8 or 9pm and eat, or do whatever I needed to do and then stay up again until 2. That nasty cycle continued for about a whole year until I got a job. I recommend you do the same before its too late.
Most people don't need 17 hours sleep per 24. That leaves 7 hours awake. Compare this to the average of 8 hours sleep and 16 hours awake per 24, that's a worrying difference.
I don't know why you're all saying how jealous you are, that's excessive sleeping and it can be pretty unhealthy, as well as a symptom of a health condition (Anemia, ME, clinical depression, CFS etc.).
If you've been accurate with your sleep estimation and not exaggerated then I suggest going to a doctor to talk about it, there could be an underlying cause of your sleeping pattern :/
Let me answer your question with another question.. Is it normal to go to bed at 9:00 p.m., wake up at 2:00 a.m., go back to sleep at 6:00 a.m., then wake up for the day at 4:00 p.m.? Different people have different sleeping habits. And sometimes, it is difficult to maintain a normal sleeping pattern. But if you're an adult, I highly recommend getting a normal amount of sleep. Seventeen hours of sleep per day only gives you seven hours to be awake. The average adult only needs 7-9 hours of sleep to function their best. And oversleeping may also cause you to be more tired during the time you are awake.
Much jealousy. I went to bed at 6am (after being up for 24 hours) and was up and about at 10am. I wish I could sleep more. I could go and lie in bed now but it'd be impossible for me to fall asleep so I'd just be lying there, wasting my time.
I wish I could buy some of your sleep off you.
Good god, if buying sleep time was a possibility, I would be a very broke, very happy man!
At least I'm not the only one =P Usually I'll go to bed at 5am, wake up at 5pm... then take a nap around 7 till about 9.... too much sleep!! I can't stand it!
I have heard that people that sleep over 9 hours live shorter not sure if its true but im just saying...
I once slept from 9pm-7pm the next day. It's a record i'm pretty proud of

Are you by chance a cat? I used to sleep this much, but 9pm bedtime wow, never in a million years.
Probably not normal, but I do the same :-P I'm usually asleep about 3/4 of the day.
Oversleeping can be a serious problem. I'm not sure if it is in your case, as I'm no doctor nor do I know your background, but just in case;

Sometimes when im bored and have nothing to do I take two naps in a day, both atleast 2 hours long...so I guess its normal?
