Is it normal to sing with an accent?

Whenever I sing along to a song and the singer has an accent, I always sing in the same accent too. Is this normal?

    Lol, I do this with reading. I got a French cookbook and read it in my head with a French accent...odd I know :)

      It's normal I start to think in english if I read something in english^^ yeah you should know I'm german^^
