Is it normal to shower once or twice a week instead of taking a shower daily? I find that showering daily is troublesome and unneccisary since i do not sweat (when i do sweat, i usualy shower at night). I think showering more than 4 times a week is a waste of water.
In many cultures it is perfectly acceptable to take showers every 3 or 4 days. I was raised that way, and its not unhygenic at all. Then again, we use bodnas in the bathroom so that might have something to do with it

in our culture we have running water and carpet no floors made of dirt.

when you take a shower are you enjoying it. does it feel good to let it run over your body and cleaning your arms legs chest back and privates?
its a chore like any other but if you take the time to really enjoy it, it truly is fun and refreshing.
take pride in who you are. bring a space heater in your room and bathroom if its too cold, maybe thats why you havent showered as much.
if your self concience and dont want to be naked, lock the door to console you.
purchase some hygeine products that you really like, perfume, bath oils, scented shampoo, facial wash, nice shaving creme.
it sounds like a recipe for a yeast infection but just dont scent your private parts use hypo allergenic for the privates.
join the rest of us and take pride in yourself. though you may think you do.
it really does come back to how you want to treat yourself. it is a luxury to have hot water so use it.
it doesnt have to be for hygein you can do it just to do something nice for your self.
I don't shower everyday, only every other day. But I don't smell. I don't work or go to school I am a stay at home mother to my 8 month old daughter so I don't Do anything to get super dirty. I think unless You work its a waste of water.
Before highschool (but also including freshmen year), I would shower very rarely, maybe less than once every two weeks, I would just wash my hair because it was long and got greasy fast. Now I shower everyday, because I don't like to put on too much cologne or deodorant to smell good, I use much less now to smell good. But yeah, it's normal, maybe a phase in life? who knows.
After reading this page, I now understand where the many bad odors in my school come from.
I can't function unless I have a shower in the morning - only thing that wakes me up!
Every other day yes. Ask your friends for an honest response to the question "Do I smell?", they'll probably say yes. If they do say no they're lying
If it is the cold season it understandable to shower 2 or 3 times a week, hot season you should shower daily... hygiene wise it is recommended daily not only for body odor but germs that attach to your body from your surroundings... The Japanese culture usually take showers/baths at night instead of mornings, also that was the hygiene cycle in Boot Camp shower after the days schedule.. wake up in the morning brush your teeth and shave and get going the end of the day we showered as at that point we were not as active...
