Is it normal to shower after taking a dump?

After chucking a sh!t I:
>Wipe until everything is gone
>Wash hands
>Shower

While in the shower I would separate my legs and bend my back forward a bit as if I am doing the really 'crappy' doggy style.
I would have soap on my lower back, which would run as the hot water goes down from my back, to between my asshole the off like a waterfall.

Is it normal to do this and if not, why the hell aren't you doing this?! bacteria doesn't just simply rub off with paper you know.

Also I would like to know your routine and tell me if I could have any improvements.

    It's not normal and very time consuming. It would be completely impractical for someone like me who defecates 2 to 5 times a day. However it's definitely more hygienic. You've got to weigh how much time it takes to how much more hygienic it is. Generally wiping is sufficient, unless you plan on using your butt as a dinner plate.
