Is it normal to shiver under any type of heat?

I have started to realise that I start to shiver under any type of heat, showering in hot water, or eating hot foods. This has been going on for about for about eight years now. I am starting to wonder if I should ask a doctor about this or should I just not worry about it.

It's probably circulatory related. Ever since I was a kid, my palms have been ice cold and I tend to get cold in heat. Ive always been on the skinny/underweight side. The only thing that stops my palms from being cold is Rhodiola Rosea. My mother says this could be a sign of thyroid issues. She has Hashimoto's, a thyroid condition and she has circulatory issues too. You really need to see a doctor, just incase.

  • Your bodies getting over heated so
it needs to cool itself down so yes
you will get the chills but i would
think a complete line of blood work
would put your mind at ease..

Or, is the shiver more like a spasm/seizure? If that's the case, you should probably see a neurologist.
