Is it normal to shake while and after playing video games?

Happens to me mostly when I play FPS (first person shooters). I play through the game, and when I get a loading screen or after I quit the game, I notice myself shaking. Possibly from the adrenaline.
I never notice other people shaking after playing a stressful game, and it makes me a bit embarrassed, trying to get up quickly and walk somewhere to let myself relax.
Is it normal? Do other people shake as well for playing video games?

  • Hmm well I get that way in some games when I'm playing versus real people. I don't know why but I just do for some odd reason. Maybe because I know it's someone real playing to versus me and I want to out skill them. Bope.

I used to get it from the adrenaline. But then I played a 24 hour Airsoft mission and realized what real combat is like. Now on FPS I don't get that feeling anymore. I can concentrate on just killing the enemy, focusing on tactics, and I play a lot better now.

Go to an airsoft game, and I guarantee you won't ever have that problem again. If you do, keep playing airsoft until it goes away.

Also, be sure to play on a team that focuses on military tactics. Once you are familiar with those kinda tactics like hugging the wall, being stealthy, etc, your mind will think professionally with only one thought, to complete the objective and to eliminate the enemy.

It probably is only the adrenelin but dude just be careful, it could also be the first signs of epilepsy...flashing tv images especially those on video games can cause this very easily it's in each and every booklet you get with every game on the health warning page. If you start getting involentary twitches or totally loose all attention to your surroundings with this shaking then go see a doctor please, but it most probably is only the excitement.

yes its normal especially if your really into whats going on because your body produces adrenalin in situation where your in danger and if your engaged enough in the game enough your mind perceives these as real threats and responds accordingly.

That happens to me when I play FPS games online against other people sometimes, but usually only if it's my first time playing the game. The first time I played Crysis 2 multiplayer I was shaking like crazy at the endgame scoreboard. If there's a really intense game going on the adrenaline usually kicks in and I start shaking too. Normal.

  • The only time I shake is when I play something like Legend of Zelda and the music plays when an enemy spots you. I shiver and get goosebumps. Sometimes the vibration on a controller goes off so much that my hands shake when it isn't even vibrating.

It's normal. You just got so into the game. I remember when I used to play on my x box a lot, the controllers would vibrate sometimes, so that made my hands shake and feel a little weird after too.
