Is it normal to set up spy cams to record your family when absent.

I have set up spy cams with full audio to record my family when I'm not there. My wife, 14 and 17 year daughters and my 8 year old son have no idea. I'm not suspicious, I'm not a perv I just like to know what's going on in my house.
So far the worst I've come across is my wife and her friend discussing sex, not in great detail, seems her friend isn't happy thankfully my wife "has always been happy and "we have a perfectly balanced sex life" .
Ok surprise number two, 17 yr old decides that seeing her mum, sister and brother have gone to the markets early Sat morning that she'll get up about 10, kick back on the lounge and masturbate while watching porn on her iPad before shower, dressed and breakfast. Gladly the camera only picked up the audio of the iPad, her, ahem, audio and some frantic arm action and the back of her head from its position up the back of the room.
DELETED from the dvr I assure you but........ now I've become slightly obsessed with recording my wife doing the same and am purposely, denying her our usual "frequency" occasionally slipping "masturbation" into appropriate conversations. Taking the kids out for periods of time but before leaving I'll do things to arouse her.
This is all so I have a private record that I can use for my own gratification. She has let me take pics of her in a candle lit bubble bath with not so many bubbles on romantic weekends away before but always insists on deleting them within in hr or so. Much of the excitement and stimulation for me would actually be that she is unaware.
Is this normal or going toof far.

    From an outside perspective, no, I do not feel that it is acceptable to be practicing espionage in your own home. But, I cannot tell you how to live in your own home.

    What interests me is why you want to do it anyway. You claim that it is not for perverted reasons, but judging by your description here, you're denying the fact that there is indeed underlying sexual intent. I don't think it is a good idea to be filming your family members, especially due to the possible backlash if they were to somehow discover these hidden cameras of yours.

    Fortunately for you, I mean, there are porn videos similar to what you're looking for; there are "hidden camera" videos floating around the net.
