Is it normal to set things on a table softly, not drop?

So I'm sitting in the library and I just had to get this off my chest. I have learned to always set things down slowly on a table, not just drop or slam them down. I've noticed Over the years there are 2 types of people; those who just make so much clatter and set stuff down which is really loud (these ppl are unruly, rude, self-centered). The others set their stuff down quietly (these ppl tend to be respectful, courteous). So am I being too sensitive? I just get so distracted when ppl throw things on the table.

Lol at the ridiculous comments. Just because someone sets something down on the table gently doesn't automatically make them a nice person. Yes it annoys me to as there's no need.. All depends on mood to which one I do.

You also seem direly pompous and irritable...
