I know a person who sells his blood, he & his wife both sell their blood, is this normal?

    Yeah, you can sell your blood. More specifically your plasma. They'll take a predetermined amount of your blood. Determined by body weight. Then the machine separates the plasma from the blood and the blood goes back inside you. The first couple times you can get up to 50$ . The payout was reduced after that to 25$ . Still a good idea. If you have a couple hours to kill, make fifty dollars by getting a shot in your arm. Worth it. Personal experience.

      I donated plasma once, but I found it somewhat disturbing. They have you hooked up to a machine for what seems like a long time. It just felt weird to have my blood going out, whirring around, and then going back in...not to mention physically uncomfortably. I know people on dialysis do this kind of thing all the time, but I'm a wimp. I guess I should note that the reason I donated plasma was to get over my fear of having blood drawn. Didn't work.

    Did it once when I was younger and broke . But it's plasma not blood and not that often . Never heard of $ for blood only things like free tickets to movies or other entertainments or coupons for things like Ben and Jerry ice cream or free t shirt sometimes . Red Cross send me a pin when I hit 2 gallons in donations .

    I have blood a few times but some bafoon dug around in my arm for some reason and it turned blue.

    They should offer cash or strippers here, I'd go back.

    Only donation here. You get some juice after. Anyway even if they bought it I wouldn't get any money, each time I've volunteered to donate I was thought that the donator should be over 50kg. Rrrrrr

    I've never heard of people selling blood. Usually that's what free donations are for. I have on the other hand heard of people selling their blood plasma though.

        I probably would!! But we can only donate here, as long as I'm concerned! I'm too skinny to donate blood though.

        Huh, I've never heard anything like that here. I'm not sure if you can sell your blood in England, people just donate it.
