Is it normal to see tiny dots

I use the computer and T.v, and other technology ALOT, im pretty much never off it. I can see thousands of tiny white/light coloured dots in my vision when my eyes are open and closed. My father and cousins who also use computers alot (my Dad works with them so he is always on them) say they can see them aswell and think it is afterimages of moniters and stuff, it does sort of look like the pixels on a tv screen. also I can see them more when it is dark but also sometimes when it is not, is this normal?

I have floaters in my vision. This is because of dust and whatnot in the eye. I get them a lot and was told it's because my eyes are bad. I have 20/400 vision.

So I shouldn't be paranoid or anything?
    Not gonna go blind?
Sorry, its just with all this time off for the holidays I have time to think and get worried by normal things.

I get this, but at all times I see trillions of "blinking dots" as well as other things.

There is potential to be concerned by this. There are conditions that "visual snow" as a symptom, multiple sclerosis is a nasty example.

Looking at bright light sources can also irritate the eyes, causing you to see 'artifacts'.

It is however normal to have visual static in the absence of a stimulus (closed eyes, very dark).

I call it "visual static." I have it too, whether it is a bad thing or not I have no clue.
