Is it normal to see this stuff?

I keep having this weird hallucination where I'll suddenly start seeing these incredibly vivid spots of light that move through the air just like dust particles. They kind of shine with the colors of the rainbow, like a CD or a prism. I can see them at different depths, and closing my eyes or moving my head won't make it go away. It usually lasts about a minute or less, and then it's gone. Is this normal?

This is normal if you have just looked at a bright light, or if you just stood up really quickly, but otherwise you might wanna get that checked out

You can even go on you tube and see medical video that shows what these look like. I had one for the first time 6 months ago scared me to death.

It's a type of migraine. Look it up. I don't remember the exact term. They are harmless unless you get a headache ten minutes later like some do.

Ignore the idiots that said go to the doctor. They don't know shit, this is perfectly normal, everybody sees these spots.

They're called phosphenes, and they're a perfectly normal thing to see. Especially when rub your eyes too much and they're closed, but you can see them with your eyes open as well.

They're probably related to eye floaters which I just read about.

I asked about those once and I was told that it was just that your eye's were dry, and its kind of like (I know this is kinda gross...) jell-o on the front of your eye. This is sometimes what I get, so I'm guessing it might be what you have.

Do you only see them with your eyes shut? I see them with my eyes open.

I agree with Jen seeing your doctor could be of vital importance to your health... brain tumours or these things my Nanna has i can't remember the name of them they grow on your eye and if they get too bad you could become blind if not treated.
    Frank...:)

Well maybe he can!Psychics will see floating lights and if you take a certain type of photo you can show other people who aren't psychics!

I don't mean to scare you but you should see a doctor. Often, people with brain tumors will see floating, flashing lights. Again, I'm sure you're fine, but better safe than sorry. Have your doc check it out.
