Is it normal to see this in objects like this?

For some reason when I look at stuff like carpets, towels, and designs on the walls I see faces of an animal. Sometimes the faces look mean or smiling. Every time I see this I just stare at it. Is this normal?

    Every time I look at a certain scuff mark on the windowsill by my bed, I see an angry cartoon dog. XD

    Yes. The human brain is excellent at facial recognition, but there's a high false positive rate. That's why people keep seeing Jesus and Mary in bits of toast and things.
