Is it normal to see this at night?

Sometimes, when it's night time, and I'm trying to sleep I'll notice what seems like a little bit of yellow reflections on the doors and walls. I Googled this and ran into some Supernatural site that said it was Spiritual Orbs. I realized however, the ones I'm seeing aren't circles. So that cant be Spiritual Orbs, right?

The windows are shut all the way so there is no way light can be reflecting from them! I have trouble sleeping and this isn't helping because it's starting to freak me out. Any ideas?

By the way, I know this isn't just my eyes because I moved them around and the yellow things look like they're really there!

you might also want to consider the other possibilities

    1) Afterimage - also called persistence of vision. A quick way to see this is to look at something in bright light and turn the lights off as you're looking at it or close your eyes.

You'll see an after image of the object for a second or two.

    2) grainy vision. This one comes in two parts really.

First there's the floaters. These are actually seen best in daylight, say looking at a light blue sky. You'll see junk floating around if you focus well on it... or rather if you try to focus on it. The junk floating in the liquid parts of your eyes will often move as your eye shifts so it will appear to move if you try to direct your eyes at it.

general graininess in the dark. you see this if you have closed eyes. if you close your eyes and wait long enough you may see 'ghost images' appear often combined from after images as i mentioned before or floaters, and your blood vessels

i mean when i close my eyes i don't really see black, it's more like a black with touches of dark red grain, like static. sometimes it even seems to move but it's nothing more than vision tricks.

    3) something is poking your eye. sometimes if you rub your eye, you'll see an image like a bright circle opposite where you're rubbing.

also, if you MOVE and the things stay where they are, on a wall/door, you may as well try going there and "blocking" them with your hands. If it's really your door glowing, you can inspect it closer.
If you can "block" it with your hands, you can find out where the source is.

Just because something is shut, does not mean it's 100% tight. even a small hole in whatever fabric it is could lead to such a phenomen, without being visible from any but the exact angle.

and sometimes it can also be reflections.

I use to see a head-shaped image on my wall at night, as I was growing up. Ghosts? Nope. Just the street light (and sometimes moonlight) reflecting off my Mickey Mouse mirror.

I get this all the time too. For me its like a little spark that just stays for a moment at peripherals of my eyes. I like to think that my real body is in some kind of coma and that spark is the doctors or aliens or whatever, shining a light into my eyes. Ive read that its something that momentarily disconnects in your eye and it produces that light. But fuck that my idea is better.

I thought spirit orbs, usually we're only seen in photography. I've caught a few of them in some analog photos. I know they have been witnessed in the flesh, there's a picture of it. In that photo, the orb wasn't 2D, it was 3D.

After you have been in darkness for a few minutes, your eyes become more sensitive to light and you will be able to see more than you could just after you turned the light off.

Could it not just be light that reflects off those objects that you don't see before your eyes have completely adjusted?

The light source could be anything from outside (maybe just a little light makes it through your curtains) to even a standby LED on your TV or phone charger, maybe even in another room and reflects off walls to get to you.
