Is it normal to see things days before they happen? (hear me out)

Ok, so sometimes I'll be awake or partially awake and then I'll see a picture of something that I've never done and then it will go away and I'll forget about it. Then between a few days and a month will go by, I'll be doing whatever and I'll remember seeing that moment in time before (exactly as I had seen it previously).

This is never anything important, and It just happens at random times. I'll only remember seeing the original vision when it happens a few days later. I don't remember when this started happening but I know that this has happened many times.

My now best friend has also experienced similar pointless visions that happen later. My question is has anyone else experienced something like this?

*comments would be lovely, thanks!

Pretty sure it's deja Vu mate. You brain does some funky shit and makes connections that aren't there and you suddenly think oh I seen/done this before.

Or it could be that you can see pointless things that happen in the future, more fun that way

That's deja vu, very common, but if it happens a lot, like once a day or more, then it is probably something you should see a doctor for

Yes this is a real effect called "deja vu". You're not receiving "premonitions" your brain is just tricking yourself into thinking you are. Randomly, for no known reason, the memory center in the human brain will activate and will trick itself into thinking that you've experienced and/or imagined this moment before. It is an eerie, but very common effect.

Thanks, I never knew that that's what deja vu means
