Is it normal to see the grim reaper

When I was 13 years old, I woke up 2 a c an interpretation of the grim reaper. He was a a skeleton with a lot of pieces of black cloth surrounding him. He extended out his hand and gestured me to take it. The moment I touched I saw all my friends and family's faces speeding in front of me then it came 2 a stop. I was floating over a swimming pool. The reapers long boney finger pointed towards a man drowning. Then I was back in room. I don't remember falling asleep or waking up that day but 2 weeks later there was a call from A foreign country saying my cousin had drowned in a pool. Does anyone mo way happened 2 me was it a coincidence or did I have a premonition. Any ideas

    I think this was bound to happen so some one at some point. The Grim reaper is a cartoonish fable. I guess it was a hulicination that happened a similar time to his death. It was going to happen to somebody eventually, just unlikely.

    Sometimes it's easy to wake up and feel you're totally awake but your mind is still in dream mode, and you see/hear things but you're still just dreaming, being half asleep in other words.
