Is it normal to see strange colors over my vision?

All my life, when I look at lightly colored objects (white, pale yellow, light green, ect), I see colors over them.
If looking at a white wall with one eye, my left, I will see a layer of green. If looking through my right, I will see a layer of orange.
It can vary from being very faint, to rather dark, As well as not happening. I can see the colors of the wall, that it is white still, and any other colors on it.
It doesnt effect my color vision, I can see all colors. Just this happens sometimes, I believe its triggered by light.
I always thought this was normal, cause my brother see's like this too, but according to my friends its not, lol..
Well, I would love to know what this is called, if anyone knows ^^;
