Is it normal to see shadow figures?

So I've always kind of saw people in objects (mostly eyes or faces). But, it has gotten so much worse. I was diagnosed with depression last year and was taking Prozac for a long time. I stopped taking it about a month ago and slowly started getting awful anxiety. I was diagnosed with that too, but I have been seeing things. Mostly shadows. Sometimes shadows of people walking their dogs... Just normal things. But I feel like they're warning me. Like the bad things will happen. Every time I try to tell my counselor stuff I start to gag or get chest pains, and I feel like it's a warning to stop talking or something bad will happen. Like maybe... They're out to get me? Help.

You have to ignore these things. I mean these thoughts and everything else associated with them. Don't give into these thoughts, or imaginations and try to pursue and focus on good things in life instead you will be better off.

Shadow People are real. I doubt that you are hallucinating. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_person

In general - Just type in your search engine "Shadow people" or "Shadow person" for more links.

This may have something to do with what you have been diagnosed with. As for not being able to tell your therapist about what you have been seeing, it's all mind over matter. Try to take a deep breath and focus on what your going to say. If that does not help, try writing it down? Who knows though, you may actually be seeing something.

there is a great ted talks with a woman who is now a psychiatrist but also has schizophrenia. Try to find that one on youtube (its there somewhere). You need to talk to someone...if not your current phsyc then another. However...there is plenty of hope. I have pretty severe anxiety (or had). I was diagnosed with panic disorder and its 99.9 percent fixed with Meditation. anxiety depression and other illness are heavily related down to the anxiety level.

Meditation helped me clear the anxious brain mentality that I had going on (specifically Mindfullness Meditation). Look into it (John Kabat Zinn is the author of a great book Full Catastrophe Living). You need to A. Understand that thoughts are just thoughts....they are not dangerous...they aren't warning you. Accept them just thoughts. They will pass. Then meditate. I mediate up to an hour a day. And now when my anxiety comes up (which is rare) I can use the tools I've developed from meditation (instinctively) and relax myself and the worry brain goes right away.

But don't forget to seek a professional therapist that you are comfortable with.

Not to be patronizing or hurtful but paranoid Schizophrenia maybe? I dont mean to get it in your head but you seem to be suffering there.

You might be developing psychotic depression, and it can become schizophrenia. You should talk to a professional.
