Is it normal to see scalp at a hair parting?

I have really dark hair and light skin, and my parting is noticeable to the point where my sister thinks it's abnormal, especially in the wind. I actually thought I just had thin hair, but... Am I losing my hair? I'm an 18 y/o girl, and sure my hair's thinner than it was when I was a kid, but surely noticing scalp with thin, dark hair is normal? :S

    Not to scare you, but it is possible you could have some irregular hormone levels. Maybe see a doctor, if you can.
