Is it normal to see a small black dot flash in the corner of my eye?

Please help! What does it mean when I see a small back dot flash in the corner of my eye of about a second or less?? It only happens when staring a computer screen for long periods e.g. when making vector graphics.

I don't have vision problems as far as I know. The last time something like this happened was when one eye was blurred for a day or two after a whole day of screens and reading. (This is a different eye this time)

    Cataract. Go see your optometrist.

It could be a very small scratch on the eye that you only see when you as had your eyes on something very bright. My friend has this.

It could a seizure or that you have some sort of issue with your eye or you could be spending too much time on the computer and your eyes need to rest. I think it would be best for you to see an eye doctor.

Not sure yet. I think it's probably linked to eye strain.
