Is it normal to secretly peek through your lover's smart phone?

If you have private access to your lover's smart phone is it normal to secretly "get to know her/him a little better" and sneak through it or is it normal to let it be and not invade his or her privacy?

Not normal and a huge red flag for me. 10
Better to ask my lover to show me so we can watch the porn together. 2
There should be no right to privacy in marriage. 2
These devices have security features. Use them! 4
Totally normal. Humans are flawed and curious. 16
Not normal and nothing good ever comes of it. 8
What I don't know wont' hurt me. Ignorance is bliss. 2
How else am I to know if my lover is unfaithful? 1
We see each other naked so why not see the phones? 3
This is pretty much like stealing from your lover. 0
My lover and I share a car and a smart phone, so... 0
I have NOTHING to hide nor should my lover. 6

That would be bad. One of the most important parts in a relationship is trust.

You might think "what have they got to hide?", but the fact is that YOU are the one invading their privacy in secret, and relationships should be based on trust.

I will never do it and if my partner did it; then it probably would be the end of our relationship. These kinds of behaviours creep me out.

People always say that makes you stalker crazy. I personally let my bf sift through my phone all the time. I sift through his to... well. Until we started using eachothers phones to post stupid status's on eachothers facebook... now we guard our phones with our lives xD

my philosophy is what you don't know can't hurt you. you can either be a jealous/suspicious S/O, which will cause problems. or you can just accept the fact that if they make you happy and treat you well to your face, and no one has told you they saw em cheating, then why bother worrying about it, just accept that they don't and that they are a great, faithful person.

I'd say it's a common act to do, not necessarily good for a relationship though.
