Ok, gonna keep it short. I'm pining for this chick I know at my work. She has a boyfriend currently (over a year long). But I don't care, I'm still chatting with her and all that.

When we are talking though, and when her boyfriend comes up in our chats, she kind of ''puts him down'' in a way. Sometimes, she will say things like ''he's kinda dumb...'' etc. She obviously likes him and all that, but she is not trying to make me feel jealous of him; maybe opposite a little. But, I'm not sure and that's why I'm asking. Is it normal?

    Well, firstly if she have a boyfriend and still keeps flirting with you is not a good relationship material.(most likely she will do it to you for the next guy). Secondly probly she think by putting her bf down is moral boosting you. Do your move if you really want to, but I WOULDN'T go serious with her.

      I should have been more clear when i created the post (I was in a rush because I had to go to sleep lmao). But anyways, when I said ''putting him down'' I didn't really mean that it happens all the time. She's just lightly making fun of him, sometimes. She is surprisingly a bit flirty with some people. But on the other hand, it's like she's devoted to him, so it gets kinda confusing sometimes.

      I agree with you that, in a way, it's kind of a moral thing. She does the same thing when we talk about other people at our work; making fun of them a lot. Maybe it's her way of being nice. Boy if I had my way and she was single, I would totally go for her in a heartbeat. So, I really don't think it's a biog deal, let's say she broke up with him.

      I posted the question because I was wondering if anyone else knows what might be goin' on.

    I think it's normal to joke about people you're close with. If she was genuinely putting him down, that's mean whether she was trying to prevent jealousy or not.
