Is it normal to restrict one day and overeat the next?

So basically, on an average week, I under eat for about 5 days (between 500 and 900 calories) and on the other 2 days I overeat quite a lot (ie eat loads of chocolate and cookies and doughnuts etc) . This isn't planned. Ideally, I would under eat every day but I find this really difficult. For example, today I woke up with sharp pains in my chest because I haven't been eating much for the past few days so I ended up having breakfast which I don't usually do and now i'm eating some chocolate. I'm not really over eating today but i'm certainly having more than 1000 calories :\ . Tomorrow i'm just going to have one meal to make up for it.

Typical of someone with an eating disorder. Get some help before you do serious damage to your body.

I suggest you do some research into the amount of calories you should be having every day to either stay the weight you are or to lose weight(which ever one you're going for). What you're doing right now is only going to destroy your metabolism.

Probably indicative of an eating disorder.

Actually I do think it is normal. Maybe not normal though but at least nothing to majorly worry about. Plus if you binge every once in a while, your body won't get into starvation mode. There is even a diet based on that principle. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/5:2_diet

That is very unhealthy and I suggest you to stop it immediately, if you can that is. I realize stopping things like this can be very difficult. If you find you can't stop eating this way on your own, try speaking to someone you trust about this and maybe they can help you through it. I used to be the same way as you, but I now eat 2000+ calories a day. Sounds like a lot, but I've learned that as long as I exercise and eat healthy foods, then I won't gain any weight. You'll have a much more attractive, healthy looking body if you start exercising and eating healthy.

I'm not a nutritionist, when whatever you're trying to do sounds stupid. If you are trying to lose weight
