Is it normal to reminisce about this site?

I used to frequent this site quite a bit about two years ago (okay, I admit; I was obsessed. I would check several times a day at work and constantly throughout the night.) Then for whatever reason, I just stopped coming. I guess I had to quit cold turkey. I logged in once again a little over a year ago, and now I'm back today. Every now and then, my former obsession will pop back into my head. I think about the various people I came to know (for the life of me, I can't remember their login names. I'll have to do some digging.) I wonder what they're doing today. Have their lives gone in different directions, or are they same? Is it normal to still think of this stuff after 2+ years?

I'm soo listening to Mary J's old skool join "Reminisce" right now = )

Interesting. I was reminiscing about you tube (back before it was fucked up) just a few minutes ago.

Yeah, this website was quite a bit different two years ago.

More fun then. Maybe that is just a. matter of perspective though.

I think it was because there were different users (not saying anything bad about the newest/current users, as I don't know many of them), and the management was much more active. I think the activeness really helped make this site more interesting and also more enjoyable.

You can't have been long before my time, then. Maybe I'd remember you. There are still a few people around from 2 or more years ago - this site tends to stay with people for a while. I don't know if IIN has changed that much. Some of the people have changed, and it's slightly less communal now because in many cases the people who left were the ones who made it communal. Perhaps they left because not enough people were pulling their weight to make it so. But aside from that, you still have all the same everything.

I think about the people I've come to know through this site quite a lot, and wonder how they're getting on. I think the site has evolved into a period of darkness just now, but I'm so glad for the people I've met in my time here. Countless times I've laughed in chat with other users and I'm really glad I've found this site :) the users that I'm good friends with, I'd like to be good friends with for a very long time :)

Same here. I haven't been on in a while, but I used to come on literally every day, and stay on for hours. Now, I come back on every once in a blue moon. But I feel as though things have changed. I still like it though. :)

I was a "regular" on this site in 2011, with a different username. I went to the chatroom here and there, so maybe we've talked before. A small world, it is.

Yes... in fact, I wonder if this was written by one of old users I reminisce about...

  • This site amuses me. Sometimes it hurts when I blow my load.
