Is it normal to regret coming on inn when you were drunk or high?

see title.

Have you ever come online and posted comments/questions/said things you regretted or wanted to keep private, offended someone etc...?

I know some people of the userbase try hard to give the impression they are permanently high/drunk when here, and i know many people regret things they done while they were in an altered state of mind - but is it the same and has it ever happened to you in an online community?
Or can you more easily "pass it off" as a bad day and hope people didn't even realize(that is, don't feel like it was a big deal and don't worry about it)?

    When I did get high and drunk I got reeeeally high and reeeeally drunk. I said things I didn't really believe I'd said or remember. I had to go back and read IM history, sent messages, Facebook updates, call logs, everything, scanning the destruction. On IIN that hasn't happened, but my moods do come through.

    I don't drink or do drugs, so anything I say is just me.

    That being said, I do get in shitty moods, and that's coming out in my posts more and more. I used to be better at holding back.

    I don't really care. It's just the internet, it's not like I'm actually there and in your face, you don't even have to walk away, just scroll down. You get angry or offended at text on a screen, that's your problem.

    Now if this was real life and I was actually drunk or high and making an ass out or myself, yeah I'd regret that. But I can make an ass out of myself just fine while sober.
