    If you didn't pay because you can't afford, I'd say normal. But because of your reasoning that 'healthcare should be free' not so normal.

    Yes. Healthcare should be free. It should be served in gumdrops, dropped by unicorns as they jump over rainbows. We should live in a world where all we have to do is wish...and it comes true.

    I should be a brazillianaire, lusted after by young women. I have that right.

    Ever hear the saying, "you get what you pay for"?
    So the doctors are supposed to spend 12 years in school and residency just so they can take care of your slacker ass for free? Yeah, that sure makes sense.

    You shouldn't pay for food either, food should be free. Go pick some berries and herbs with medical remedies. Your beliefs don't fit the grocery store/hospital lifestyle.If you're going to reject the monetary aspect I really think you should reject these modern services altogether. Many people do this and live long, healthy lives.

    You don't mean free, you mean tax-funded. Nothing in life is free. Even with the best intentions, medical workers deserve compensation for their work. In the end, they have families to feed too.

    You not paying the bill runs the risk of them having to jack their prices up. Regardless of what you think, you're going to regret it when you go in for a loan and your credit is shredded with unpaid bills.

    I'm not saying that your political beliefs are flawed, but your reasoning to not pay bills is not sensible.

    Sooo a doctor spends thousands of dollars getting educated, and shouldn't expect to be reimbursed? I agree with NeuroNeptunian, I think you mean tax-funded, making healthcare free for you.

    Why exactly are you all for free health care? I haven't formed an opinion on it yet, mainly because the topic is uninteresting to me. Yet I am curious as to why you believe it should be free, just to see your side.
