Is it normal to refuse to obey my mother's commands?

When my mother (or any who nags) tells me to something, I suddenly can't do.it. Even when I'm seconds from doing whatever she told me to do. I just stop and go do somehimg that I shouldn't be doing.

Please excuse any grammatical errors...

Well it is normal in a way. Most people do not like being told what to do. Especially when it's something that you don't like to do, or that takes away from your time. It's especially difficult to do something that someone you resent or don't really like tells you to do it. When someone you really like and have a great relationship with asks you to do something, you are happy to do it. Unless ofcourse, you're a very selfish person and can only think of yourself and what you want or what you need, then you would refuse to do anything someone tells you to do ever.

hmm well it is being slightly insolent.
I really think, growing up in a household and also in my working experiences, when I respect the person (people) I am doing the work for, putting the effort in for, I am more motivated to do a good job of it. If I'm annoyed then it definitely effects my productivity.
