Is it normal to really seriously want to be a vampire

I am 41 and am still hoping that vampires are real. For as long as I can remember, I have a desire, almost an obsession with becoming a vampire. I am not afraid of death and believe in God. I just dont want to die...ever. And vampires are a total turn on. To me, they are sexy. I also love the power they have.. the powers vary on what book or movie your reading/watching. But they seem so so cool. They seem invincible, can do and say what ever they want and get away with it. In movies/books, they portray them as rich and successful. And danger is always there. So, I want to s be a vampire. I have read they are not real....but I refuse to believe it.. (Let's keep hope alive--how ironic...hehe). I so badly want to be one... Do you think I am crazy??

P.S. I am a total True Blood fan(the HBO series, True Blood)

    I wanted to become the Warrior Vampire Emperor like Kain Coorhagen in the "Legacy of Kain" He'll kick both Twilight & Vampire Diaries pubeless asses any day. They couldn't even be in his top ranking lieutenants line.

    Look up real vampires... The fact that your basing your 'fantasy' on vampire diaries etc is seriously deluded... That's Hollywood trying to romanize them, if vampires were real they wouldn't be like Hollywood portrays them, they are the UNDEAD therefote wouldnt be attractive. And the fact that your 41 maybe you should get out more and actually live while you can instead of living in a fantasy world.... Anyways you'd probably be killed if they did exist.

    I'm 18 but I want to be a vampire also! lol I watch True Blood too but I also watch various other vampire movies and shows. Or read books involving vampire characters. Whenever I dream of being one, I don't want to wake up!

    I love vampires. Don't get me wrong. But I think it would probably be best if we kept them in fiction. Think about it this way, a vampire needs blood. He drinks from his mortal neighbor who then drinks from his mortal neighbor and who, of course, drinks from his mortal neighbor. Eventually, it will become like a pandemic and we would all be vampires in the end. Once we are all vampires, who then will we drink from? Vampires are awesome and, hell yeah, definitely sexy, but I want to refrain from becoming one, what it all the weaknesses and all.

    If you want to become a vampire, that's cool. As long as you're not delusional and you're not running around biting people. And, for Christ sake, please tell me you're not like those annoying 14 year old girls who swear they are vampire just because they have canines larger than most people.

    No, I don't think vampire are real, although they are my all time favorite supernatural but it's always fun to imagine it :)

    Yes, it's normal to fantasize.

    I always wish I'll get powers that will let me mind control everyone on earth and make them do whatever I want. I'd have Jessica Biel and a non pre pregnant Kim Kardashian as my personal wives/sex slaves.

    I'd spend my days being carried in an air conditioned carriage looking for beautiful women to bring home and bed. And it would be totally consensual, as everyone on earth would find me to be the most beautiful creature in creation.

    You'd really rather be someone who gets really weak when they're hungry, and can't ever see the daylight again?

    If I were gonna be a vampire I'd want to be a Fae-Vampire hybrid like Warlowe, because he can walk in the daylight.

    Warlowe is the vampire from True Blood, one of the only characters created for the show. He's the guy Ben who Sookie picked up on the side of road. Oh, whoops, spoilers!

      lol... after i read about what you put about Warlow... I was cracking up. I just watched that episode..and totatlly couldnt believe it. At first I thought, oh he must me Warlow, but then he was acting to nice, as they made warlow out to be this horrible mean vamp...so, Then I changed my mind. Luckly I saw the episode or i just wouldnt have believed it. Did you see the last two episodes, on july 21st and 28th? I am almost getting lost.. they are putting way too much info/action in an episode. all I can say is, I LOVE ERIC.... OMG... everything he does/says.. I wanna die.... I want him to be my maker....lol

        Yeah I've seen every episode of the show. But I think they ruined the Warlow story line. I mean, he's supposed to be this horrible vampire that was so bad, that Rutger Hauer (forget the character name, the fairy grandfather, which by the way is the gayest thing on earth) had to banish him to another world. THEN Warlow banishes HIM, yet Warlow is still somehow a good guy?

        As always, True Blood ruined their one good story line that was actually original and not stolen from the book. I only kept watching because of that, and then they ruined it too. Very disappointing to say the least, I may be done with the show.

        And I love Eric too, he's a great actor. Although, since I'm a guy I'd rather have Lorena or whatever his sisters name is be my maker. She can bite me any time she wants.. oh wait, she's dead, spoilers!

    Somewhat the same. People say I suit the "vampire look", but I don't know.

    Either way, I like the idea of vampires due to their immortality, and I do have a bit of an obsession with blood...So...

    Anyway, I dislike the route vampires are being taken. I don't like the idea of them having all these "Powers", and so on, it just ruins the core image of what vampires are - sadistic immortals.
    I always thought the two main outlines of the vampire were their immortality and their sadism, not their mind reading, electricity, super speed, lift up car strength, that is just ridiculous when taken past a certain point.

    I like it when vampires may have a slight increase in their strength, endurance, and speed, but not to the ridiculous scale they have been taken recently.

    The vampire's only "power" should be immortality. That alone makes them overpowering, as the resistance against time is the most powerful thing anything/anyone could have, and by making immortality their only power, it defines the vampire's evil nature more, rather than defining their supernatural powers.

    Vampires are supposed to be immortal and sadistic, not immortal, mixed with a whole lot of other powers.

    The immortal sadistic vampires, they are the true vampires, the best defined ones.

    I have the same desire . Exact same desire . Only I honestly love blood , since I was lite before I knew about vampires I've always loved blood. The color , the taste , the texture .. I think it's normal :)
    But most people wouldn't understand ...

      I am glad I am not the only one who wants to be a vamp. The blood thing isnt whats its all about for me. I mean, i would prefer to drink blood, then have to go food shopping, cook the food, do he damn dishes,,, lol.. But the power and living forever and the sexual part just turns me on... I watch every episode of True blood at least 3 times... love it

    I'd say it's normal... but that's not necessarily a good thing. If you want to be rich and successful then go for it, you don't need to be a vampire for that. As for living forever...yeah, I'm sure anyone would change their minds after a couple centuries...And if it's a turn on, then I'm sure if you've got a good partner they'd be willing to play along ;)
