I think it is possible to really love your wife and have an affair, doesn't make it right.
There is obviously something wrong in your marriage though e.g little or no sex, no kisses and cuddles, not showing affection, or just bored of the same life day in day out.

Political correctness aside: Women can wield more power than men in relationships- that's a fact. They begin to push the boundaries of freedom and power doing what they want when they want and enjoying the conflict that creates.
